The ocean can be a very beautiful and wonderful thing. But as with all of nature we must respect it and know that we are fragile to it's wrath. I hope that we have all learned a great deal from the recent hurricanes in the U.S. and prepare ourselves for what could lie ahead. Posted by Picasa

God Bless the U.S.A! Hey Guys, I'm glad that Hurricane Rita spared everyone in the Dallas area. I had been really concerned. Helpfully now we can focus on those who were directly affected by Rita and Katrina. I would post this pic to show you my patriotism! Hope to hear from you all soon! With Love, Chris Posted by Picasa

Hey guys, hope you're enjoying the pics.

I pray that Rita will pop a pill and get off the rag. Don't want to see my friends and family suffer. Let me know how this has been directly affecting you guys in Dallas. It's been the topic of conversation here in Talca. Everyone has a lot of questions for me about it in my English conversation class. We are feeling the effects in oil prices down here too. Our main oil supplier is the U.S. since Chile signed the Free Trade Agreement of 2002. It costs as much as $67USD to fill up a 13 gallon Hyundai Elantra! Anyways, feel free to drop by my blog and leave a comment. Chao chao!

Torta de Mil Hojas. Translated means Cake of a Thousand Layers. It has layer after layer of very fine dough and Chilean "manjar." Which is sweet condensed milk boiled for 45 minutes inside the can. The outside consists of merenge. It's goooood! ; ) Posted by Picasa
